Search Help
Searching for documents on
AmeriCorps.gov is easy and works just like searching with
Google, Bing, or any number of search engines. Just type in a few words
or phrases in either the search box above or in one the search boxes
located at the top of every page. Try to use discriminating terms that
are likely to be found only in the documents you seek. Here is an
example:
By typing Michigan, you will
return all documents containing the phrase "Michigan".
By typing Detroit, Michigan, you
will narrow your results, returning only the documents that contain
the phrase "Detroit, Michigan".
Refining Your Search
Once you've performed your first search, a box will appear that
allows you to further refine your search. By default, the search
engine searches only AmeriCorps.gov.
- If you would like to expand your search to include all
Corporation websites, select "Search
all Corporation websites".
This will return all matching pages across the entire family of
Corporation for National and Community Service websites (NationalService.gov,
SeniorCorps.gov, AmeriCorps.gov, LearnandServe.gov, MLKDay.gov,
GetInvolved.gov, AmeriCorpsWeek.gov, and Serve.gov).
- If you would like to search only the Newsroom and exclude the
rest of the site, select "Search the Newsroom".
- If you would like to expand your search to include results from
our Training and Technical Assistance websites, select "Search the
National Service Resource Center and the Service Learning
Clearinghouse"
