WHAT: Subcommittee on Fisheries, Wildlife, Oceans and Insular Affairs legislative hearing on:
• HR 1917 (Kind), To authorize the Secretary of the Interior, through the United States Fish and Wildlife Service, to conduct a Joint Venture Program to protect, restore, enhance, and manage migratory bird populations, their habitats, and the ecosystems they rely on, through voluntary actions on public and private lands, and for other purposes. “Joint Ventures for Bird Habitat Conservation Act of 2011.”
• HR 1960 (Wittman), To extend the authorization of appropriations for allocation to carry out approved wetlands conservation projects under the North American Wetlands Conservation Act through fiscal year 2017. “North American Wetlands Conservation Extension Act of 2011.”
• HR 3074 (Kline), To amend the Migratory Bird Treaty Act to delegate to States the authorities of the Secretary of the Interior under that Act with respect to cormorants, and for other purposes. “Cormorant Management and Natural Resources Protection Act.”
