FISHERY MANAGEMENT PLANS
ATLANTIC SURFCLAM AND OCEAN QUAHOG
Implementing regulations for these fisheries are found at 50 CFR Part 648 Subpart E
The Atlantic Surfclam and Ocean Quahog fisheries are managed by the Mid-Atlantic Fishery Management Council. These fisheries utilize an individual transferable quota (ITQ) to regulate commercial fishing. To view images of Atlantic surfclam and ocean quahog, please click here.
