Recognition Ceremony for New Shuttle Service for FDA Employees
Today, U.S. Senator Paul Sarbanes (D-MD), Congressman Steny Hoyer, State Senator Ida Ruben, and Labquest Vice President Mike Levin joined Dr. Andrew von Eschenbach, Acting Commissioner of the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and Kathleen Heuer, FDA Associate Commissioner for Management, to celebrate a new shuttle bus service for FDA employees. The shuttle will transport employees to and from FDA’s Parklawn and Wiley Buildings, and the Twinbrook, Silver Spring, and College Park Metro Stations. The shuttle service will make it easier for FDA employees to take public transportation and will reduce energy costs and traffic congestion. The service soon will be expanded to the MARC Train's Camden and Brunswick lines.
