Primary care providers can pay off student loans while serving in communities with limited access to health care.
Students pursuing careers in primary care can receive scholarships for serving communities in need upon graduation and completion of training.
Clinical practice sites can recruit and retain qualified providers by becoming an NHSC-approved site.
The National Health Service Corps (NHSC) invites medical providers to register and participate in the third “NHSC Virtual Job Fair” on Tuesday, September 18, from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. ET/4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Pacific Time. Space is limited and registration for providers closes on September 17. Register Today!
The HHS Partnership Center continues to host a series of interactive conference calls discussing the benefits and provisions of the health care law, the Affordable Care Act. The Affordable Care Act Conference Calls are being held on various dates in June and July. All calls are open to the public and include a question and answer session where participants can ask HHS staff any questions. Participants are also encouraged to submit questions in advance to have answered on the calls to ACA101@hhs.gov.
The NHSC announces the opening of the new NHSC Jobs Center, replacing the former Job Opportunities List (JOL). The Jobs Center is a resource for primary care providers looking for jobs at NHSC sites. The site provides improved search capabilities and easier navigation, and includes more detailed information about NHSC sites. The Jobs Center is integrated with Google map technology, allowing users to schools, businesses and other amenities surrounding NHSC sites. Check out the NHSC Jobs Center and see the possibilities!

The U.S. Office of Management and Budget has directed every Federal Department and Agency to review conference spending. Based on this review, HRSA had to make the tough decision to cutback on NHSC conferences. At this time, there are no additional NHSC conferences planned.

Click here to search for primary care job openings and information on NHSC sites. The HPSA data available at the NHSC Jobs Center is considered the official data for use in the NHSC programs. The NHSC is currently using HPSA data as of June 1, 2012.
