This May we observe Memorial Day and remember those who have made the ultimate sacrifice. Families of fallen military service members often bear significant burdens from the loss of their loved ones. Aside from the emotional devastation, the financial hardships placed on such families can be difficult. That’s why Social Security provides income for surviving families of military service members.
