Presidential Election is Tuesday, November 6th

You will be asked to show ID when you go to vote at the polls. If you don't have a photo ID, you may present a birth certificate, Social Security card, Medicare card or government-issued document.

The Town's Voting Districts have changed as a result of the 2010 census and may affect where you vote. Click here to view the full size map. You can also check your voter status and polling location, and view the state Voter Information Handbook on the Secretary of State's website at www.sos.ri.gov.

Emergency ballots will be available from Wednesday, October 17th through Monday, November 5th at 4 PM at the Town Clerk's Office. Those who are not yet registered to vote may do so on Election Day at the Town Hall and then vote for President and Vice President only.   • Proposed Changes to Coastal FEMA Flood Insurance Rate Maps Now Available for Review

    The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has released new Flood Insurance Rate Maps (FIRMs) for the coastal areas of the Town of South Kingstown that will become effective in July 2013. Map changes are based on new studies and more accurate elevation data. Fourteen of the 31 FIRM panels which cover areas along the shoreline and coastal salt ponds in the Town are impacted. These changes can affect the amount and type of federal flood insurance property owners in these areas are required to carry. Property owners are encouraged to review the proposed flood maps to learn about your flood risk and to identify any concerns or questions. Click here for more information.
