Washington, DC On Thursday, January 12, Vice President Joe Biden and Secretary of Education Arne Duncan will visit Lincoln High School in Gahanna, Ohio to discuss college affordability.
Since the members of Lincoln High School's senior class were born, published tuition at the Ohio State University has more than tripled. More than two-thirds of Ohio college students take out loans to pay for school. These students graduate with an average debt of over $27,000.
The Vice President will discuss the importance of college and the steps the Administration has taken to keep college affordable in Ohio and across the country. He will also call on colleges and universities to do their part to contain costs and ensure college remains within reach for the middle class.
