Chargé d’Affaires Karen Johnson hosted this year’s 4th of July reception for the U.S. Mission to the UN Agencies in Rome at Villa Laura, her residence.  

“On this July 4th, in honor of the 236th anniversary of the United States of America,  and with grateful appreciation to all of you, our colleagues, for the work you are doing to eliminate global hunger and poverty, we give you our best wishes for  peace, health, and  happiness,” Johnson told her guests.

Over 350 friends and colleagues from the UN Agencies in Rome attended the celebration, singing along to America the Beautiful and enjoying a traditional American barbeque.
