Event Summary:
Globally recognized as the must-attend Smart Grid gathering, GridWeek is the only event with a proven history of attracting the complete diversity of global Smart Grid stakeholders to explore Smart Grid's impact on the economy, utility infrastructure, consumers and the environment. Planned by a representative committee of industry stakeholders, GridWeek's agenda is focused on the most relevant industry topics, defining the agenda for Smart Grid advancement.

GridWeek brings together more than 150 speakers and change agents to discuss the most critical issues defining the Smart Grid landscape today. Joining forces with the U.S. Department of Commerce and key international governments, the GridWeek organizers are bringing together the complete diversity of stakeholders from around the world.

Attendees will have 40 educational sessions to choose from during the conference. The sessions will focus on themes including “Engaging Consumers,” “Globalization of Smart Grid,” and “Putting Smart Grid on the Fast Track.” These themed sessions will cover issues such as global implementation strategies, international innovation, worldwide collaboration around the adoption of Smart Grid standards, reports on utility successes and best practices to standards and business cases, communicating Smart Grid benefits, encouraging consumer buy-in, and understanding the consumer side of the meter.
