EPA.gov is governed by CIO policy 2180 (formerly 2191), Web Governance and Management (PDF) (4 pp, 340KB, About PDF). This policy sets forth a management structure, with roles and responsibilities to guide the Agency today and long into tomorrow.

This policy breaks Web management responsibilities into two parts:

The two national managers work with program office and regional Content and Infrastructure Coordinators through the Web Council. See the Council membership list for your representatives.

Working together, the Web Council sets priorities for EPA's Web site, establishes procedures, standards and guidance, and coordinates Web efforts across the Agency.
