Tolerance and Non-Discrimination

Working to Banish Prejudice

The United States places great importance on combating all forms of discrimination around the world, ranging from the fight against racism, xenophobia and aggressive nationalism, to the struggle for equality of opportunity regardless of gender, sexual orientation or ethnicity.

Therefore, we continue to support the various OSCE initiatives that address prejudice, discrimination, and intergroup conflict, including the work of the Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights, the work of the Personal Representatives on Tolerance, and the work of the High Commissioner on National Minorities.

The links below will provide you with more information on USOSCE and broader U.S. Government activity on some key tolerance and non-discrimination issues.
