On Jan. 7, 2011, U.S. Secretary of Commerce Gary Locke, and Howard A. Schmidt, Special Assistant to the President and Cybersecurity Coordinator at The White House, spoke at an event held in Silicon Valley about the National Strategy for Trusted Identities in Cyber Space (NSTIC).
Hosted at the Stanford Institute for Economic Policy Research (SIEPR), and co-sponsored by TechAmerica, TechNet, the Churchill Club, and the Team for Research in Ubiquitous Secure Technology (TRUST), the event also featured a panel session with industry and non-profit executives discussing current and future real world applications of trusted identities.
