Water Management

This department applies multi-disciplinary science and technology-based modeling to assess complex environmental systems. It integrates ecology, anthropology, and advanced geospatial science to solve problems resulting from environmental impacts and helps build computational models for predicting future impacts.

It develops applications for environmental stewards that integrate scientific tools into the management of watersheds, and terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems. Its work supports early detection of threats and impacts to environmental systems. It also develops tools to identify and address ecological risk and decision-making processes regarding environmental and long-term stewardship issues.
