DAU is located in specific communities with the heaviest concentration of DoD AT&L workforce members. Locations were chosen to provide the greatest impact to workforce members while minimizing travel and per diem costs,

DAU Headquarters: DAU headquarters is located at Ft. Belvoir, Virginia. This location continues the immediate accessibility of the AT&L training provider to the USD(AT&L), as well as service policymakers, service training quota managers, and training requirements developers.

Regional Campus Concept: To become more customer-focused, DAU redeployed its faculty and resources from service legacy locations to locations with high-populations of Defense Acquisition Workforce. Five branch campuses, serving geographical regions and a sixth branch campus, Defense Systems Management College – School of Program Managers, providing courses on executive and leadership support on a nationwide basis, were established.
