BAKERSFIELD ANTHEM WRITER PASSES AWAY -

Homer Joy, the man who gave Bakersfield its own theme song died last night. Joy wrote "Streets of Bakersfield" in 1972. Please join me in remembering our local legend and sending our thoughts and prayers to his family.

THE $16,000,000,000,000 PRESIDENT - "Americans are reminded today of President Obama’s pledge in 2009 to cut the deficit in half by the end of his first term.
