Dong Su
Electron Microscopy
Dong Su is a scientific staff of Electron Microscopy team of the Center for Functional Nanomaterials at Brookhaven National Lanoratory.
Dong completed his PhD in Physics at Nanjing University, and Beijing Laboratory of Electron Microscopy, China in 2003. He did his postdoc in Lausanne (EPFL) and University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign from 2004-2006. In 2007 he got a position as Assistant Research Scientist at Arizona State University working with Prof. John Spence. During the past years, he has developed and implanted various microscopy techniques to study structure and properties of materials. He is an expert on electron energy-loss spectroscopy and scanning transmission electron microscopy. He will be in charge of the Hitachi instrument HD2700C dedicated STEM at CFN to conduct his own research and to serve users.
