Inspection Services
The Inspection Services Organization (ISO) is a group of highly skilled, multidisciplined professionals that serves as the central organization for nondestructive testing and quality control inspection across the entire fleet of TVA power equipment – nuclear, fossil, combustion turbine, hydro, combined cycle, wind turbine and heavy equipment.
Nondestructive evaluation allows TVA to monitor the condition and performance of equipment without having to disassemble the component. It allows TVA to efficiently comply with regulations, increase reliability, prevent emergency outages, and prevent failures of equipment that could injure TVA workers.
ISO personnel are certified in accordance with ASNT-TC-1A, ANSI N45.2.6 and CP-189 with multiple PDI (Performance Demonstration Initiative) certifications.
