CAC is the proponent for Army doctrine. The Combined Arms Doctrine Directorate (CADD) serves as the Executive Agent for doctrine development and integration across the force. Center for Army Lessons Learned

The Center for Army Lessons Learned (CALL) collects and analyzes data from a variety of current and historical sources, including Army operations and training events, and produces lessons for military commanders, staff, and students. CALL disseminates these lessons and other related research materials through a variety of print and electronic media. View CALL's Products page.

Command and General Staff College
The Command and General Staff College (CGSC) develops officers to lead fighting units of the tactical and operational levels of war. Each year, it trains more than 15,000 officers through a variety of resident and non-resident programs. As part of its educational mission, CGSC produces two large academic collections each year - the School of Advanced Military Studies (SAMS) student monographs and the Masters of Military Art and Science Theses. Both of these collections are maintained by the Combined Arms Research Library. They are located at the following links:

CSI serves as the Commander's historical think tank by publishing original, interpretive research on topics pertinent to current doctrinal, educational and operational concerns. Over the years, CSI has produced an impressive collection of materials that provide an exceptional insight into the evolution of military thought. Military Review
Military Review is a refereed journal that provides a forum for original thought and debate on the art and science of land warfare and other issues of current interest to the US Army and the Department of Defense. Military Review has been in constant publication since 1922. It is currently published in English, Portugese, Spanish, and Arabic. The following table contains complete copies of Military Review that can be downloaded through your browser. A complete, article-level set of materials are currently available through the Center for Army Lessons Learned and can be accessed through this link.
