For the weekend: Art in Munich
Munich offers more than the opportunity to down suds by the gallon. Friday through Sunday, experience Open Art, a weekend in which some 65 galleries, museums and institutes offer free entry.
The event kicks off what is considered to be the start of a new year of art following summer closures and serves as a showcase for modern and contemporary art collections.
