PEARCE CONGRATULATES CENTRAL ELEMENTARY SCHOOL FOR 2012 NATIONAL BLUE RIBBON SCHOOL DESIGNATION

Las Cruces, New Mexico (September 7, 2012) - Today, Congressman Pearce issued the following statement: 

“I am honored to congratulate Central Elementary School in Artesia, NM for being named a 2012 National Blue Ribbon School.  I want to thank all the educators at Central Elementary for their commitment and dedication to education.  These teachers exemplify the amazing work teachers around the country are doing day in and day out to ensure our children receive a robust and well-rounded education.  I am very pleased these dedicated educators are being recognized for their hard work.”

The National Blue Ribbon Schools Program aims to set a standard of excellence for public and private elementary, middle, and high schools to strive for the highest level of achievement.  This program is part of a larger Department of Education initiative to identify the best school leadership and teaching practices nationwide.
