If you believe someone is illegally receiving Railroad Retirement
Board (RRB) benefits or you wish to report or discuss any suspected
misconduct relating to the RRB, its programs or employees, please
contact the Office of Inspector General (OIG).
The OIG encourages individuals who are reporting fraud or misconduct
to provide their contact information so that we may obtain
additional information if necessary. If you choose to remain
anonymous, the absence of your contact information may limit our
ability to conduct a complete investigation. In accordance with the
Inspector General Act of 1978, as amended, OIG will keep identifying
source information confidential unless such disclosure is
unavoidable during the course of the investigation. However, if you
wish to provide information without disclosing your identity you may
do so utilizing any of the methods of contacting us that are listed
above.

What to Expect: Your allegation will be reviewed by the Office of
Inspector General. You may be contacted if additional information is
required. Due to privacy concerns, you will not be contacted
regarding the status of the investigation. OIG reserves the right to
make the final determination regarding the disposition of all
allegations.
What to Submit: For your convenience, you may use the Office of
Inspector General’s Hotline Special Complaint Form . Due to internet
privacy concerns, this form must be mailed. You may also submit
complaints using any of the other methods described above by
providing the following information:
- Information regarding the alleged fraud or misconduct
including where, when, and what occurred;
- Identifying information for all involved individuals including
name, address, telephone number, date of birth, social security
number and details of their participation; and
- Description of any documentation you may possess relating to
the alleged fraud or misconduct.
Identity Theft: If you believe that your personal identifying
information was compromised by the RRB and as a result your
information was misused by someone, please submit detailed
information to the OIG’s Hotline as described above. To learn more
about Identity Theft or to report Identity Theft which does not
involve the RRB, please contact the Federal Trade Commission (FTC)

Important: If you have questions regarding RRB benefit eligibility
requirements, delayed payments or similar problems, do not call the
Hotline. You should contact the nearest RRB Field Office.
