Marijuana is a mind-altering (psychoactive) drug produced by the Cannabis sativa plant. Marijuana is one of the most commonly used drugs by teenagers. The Monitoring the Future survey, an annual report sponsored by the National Institute on Drug Abuse, shows that year after year, marijuana is the most widely used illicit drug among teens.
