Working with Us
NREL's interaction with industrial, university, and government partners worldwide is the key to moving advanced technologies into the marketplace and the U.S. economy. We provide opportunities to develop technology partnerships and researcher-driven collaboration.
Developing Technology Partnerships
NREL offers a variety of technology partnership agreements to help you gain access to our research expertise, including our laboratory and modeling and analysis capabilities. You can:
- Work collaboratively with us on a project through a Cooperative Research and Development Agreement
- Pay NREL to conduct research without your collaboration through a Work-for-Others agreement.
Researcher-Driven Collaboration
NREL scientists conduct joint research projects with partners around the world through international projects and through more informal means, such as collaboration on specific technical topics. NREL researchers also actively participate in conferences and seminars around the world, and the lab also hosts visiting scientists and postdoctoral researchers from other countries. If you would be interested in joining NREL in that capacity, access our Employment page on the NREL Web site.
