Sec. O'Mara. While Delaware was fortunate that it did not receive more damage from the storm, there is still work to be done. If you need recovery information, please go here:

  3. The existing driving restrictions will remain in place overnight. State highway crews will spend the overnight and early morning hours evaluating current conditions and determining the extent of the damage to our state’s roads. We will re-examine the restrictions as day breaks based on the most current information available. We will be in a position by 8:30 a.m. tomorrow to announce what changes to make to the driving restrictions, if any.

  10. In Ocean View today, we dedicated a project that created work for local companies, helped nurture the still-maturing solar industry, is removing 56 tons of carbon dioxide from the air we breathe, and will save the town $12,000 a year in operating costs! The town's new solar array is responsible for all of this and was created with ARRA dollars. That's what I call a win-win-win for Delaware.

  13. Today I joined Rep. John Carney at the Helen F. Graham Cancer Center to announce $4.6 Million for cancer research for hospitals in the region. Federal funding has helped drive down Delaware's cancer mortality rate, but we still have more work to do.
