I had suspected that my condition was circulatory in nature but I was uncomfortable seeing a physician before I could better explain my symptoms. I also needed help in identifying which symptoms were worth noting. For example, I did not imagine that nighttime leg cramps could be a symptom of P.A.D. I believe that an educated patient is a better patient because medical providers require cooperation and understanding of the situation of their patients to be better able to guide and assist them. NIH indeed helps build better patient-physician teams! Thank you for this publication and all the valuable information you provide to the public.
