Webinar Information for President's Executive Order 13607

The Departments of Defense, Veterans Affairs, and Education, in conjunction with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and the Federal Trade Commission, conducted three webinars to discuss Executive Order 13607-- Establishing Principles of Excellence for Educational Institutions Serving Service Members, Veterans, Spouses, and Other Family Members. The Executive Order is designed to enhance resources and support available to Service members and Veteran's using military tuition assistance, veteran's benefits and other federal benefits to pursue a higher education. Additionally, the Executive Order (EO) encourages agencies to expand oversight activities to better address student concerns, and ensure that students receive quality educational opportunities in exchange for their Federal education benefits. The EO also challenges agencies to learn more about the students they serve through outcome measures that can inform future initiatives. To watch to the webinar please go to: Executive Order 13607. The new Partnership MOU conveys the commitments and agreements between the educational institution and DoD. For additional information, visit the DoD MOU summary page.
