Senate panel gives nod to Norris for FERC seat
The Senate energy committee yesterday approved the nomination of John Norris to a seat on the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission. Norris, currently chief of staff for U.S. Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack, was chairman of the Iowa Utilities Board from 2005 until earlier this year. Read More

Seattle City Light announced Oct. 7 that it is the first utility to offer customers the ability to link their electricity consumption data with Microsoft Hohm, an online application that tracks energy use and provides personalized energy conservation recommendations. Read More
