Ms. Tanya Tanner joined DARPA in October 2010.  She serves as the overall business/financial manager for the Defense Sciences Office. Tanner previously served as the Program Analyst for the Information Processing Techniques Office in DARPA from 2008 until 2010.  Before coming to DARPA, her experience includes serving as an advisor to the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Intelligence-Analysis in the Office of Intelligence & Analysis at the Department of Homeland Security and twelve years as an intelligence officer for the U.S. Air Force.   

She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Chinese Language & Literature from Michigan State University, a Master of Public Administrative from the University of Oklahoma, and a Bachelor of Science in Strategic Intelligence from the Joint Military Intelligence College.
