Iowa Grants Enterprise Management System (GEM$)

GEM$ is Iowa's Grant Enterprise Management System. This site is designed to provide information centered around finding and applying for grants. Iowa also maintains a database of grant applications.

The GEM$ database is designed to implement the GEM$ Competitive Grants Review Process, as defined in Iowa Administrative Rules. The review process begins when a potential grant is identified, continues through the submission of the application and follows up with the final disposition of the application. A flowchart and explanation of the flowchart are provided to explain the process in more detail.

Beginning January 1, 2009 agencies will also report all non-competive grants received.

Database Accessibility - Access is only available to Iowa state agency personnel with special secured access.
