  3. As a resident of Downey, I am deeply saddened by yesterday’s horrific act of violence in our community. My heart goes out to the family and friends of the victims. They are in my thoughts and prayers. As we learn more about this tragic event, I ask everyone in the community to please remain alert and observant and aid our police force in finding this killer and bringing him to justice.
