Food Composition
The Nutrient Data Laboratory (NDL) has been compiling and developing food composition databases for over a century. Current version of the database is Standard Reference - Release 24. Food Surveys Research Group (FSRG) monitors/assesses food consumption and related behaviors of the American population by conducting surveys, including the "What's In The Foods You Eat" survey.
- Macronutrients - includes general and specific resources on carbohydrates, proteins, fiber, fats and cholesterol, water, as well as interactive tools.
- Phytonutrients - includes general information, government-related sites, and resources on specific phytonutrients such as tea, lycopene, and phytoestrogens.
- Vitamins and Minerals - includes general information as well as resources for specific vitamins and minerals.
Resources include food composition tables and databases from other countries.
