There is nothing quite like the panic that comes from pulling out sheets for your holiday guests, only to find that moths have created new, breezy designs with your linens. Before you pop open a box of mothballs to take care of the problem, make sure to carefully read the label and remember that most mothball products are only meant to be used inside airtight, closed containers. Please visit our web pages on mothball use for more information. #NPICHolidaySeries

This webinar is great for people who use pesticides in their homes or gardens. It was given by Kaci Buhl through the eXtension All Bugs Good and Bad Webinar Series in February 2015.

Pesticides are useful tools if we use them properly. Improper use can harm the user and the environment and lead to secondary pest outbreaks. Learn how to us...

Join the EPA School IPM team tomorrow from 11am - 12:30 PST for a free webinar on how to control cockroaches in school environments. Cockroaches can be a serious health concern in schools (triggering asthma and allergies), and should be controlled using multiple methods.

Cockroaches hide in cracks, crawl spaces, cardboard boxes, between walls, in appliances and in false bottoms of cupboards. They eagerly wait for the kitchen…

Researchers are working on creating an insecticide that stops mosquitoes from being able to urinate. Something to specifically target the deadliest animal on Earth.

In a new study, Vanderbilt pharmacologist Jerod Denton, Ph.D., Ohio State entomologist Peter Piermarini, Ph.D., and colleagues report an experimental molecule that inhibits kidney function in mosquitoes and thus might provide a new way to control the deadliest animal on Earth.

Mouse in the House? National Pesticide Information Center shares information on prevention and control of the pest. Did you know...mice can extract their water from food, so they may not need a water source. http://npic.orst.edu/pest/mice.html

Mice can live in many types of habitats, including man-made structures. Mouse infestations can be more common in homes than rat infestations. Since they are mostly active at night, mice may be difficult to see. Signs of chewing, nesting or droppings can help identify a mouse problem. Although they o...

Here is a good overview of how this all might fit together in your garden and where to start:

Building guilds is a clever way to put gardens together. Instead of toiling over providing this or that nutrient for plants or battling with pests or relying on the success of just one crop to provide the food, a massive mixture of productive growth is but a few preparation steps away.
