The Annual Grant Competition
The Annual Grant program supports academic and applied research, the identification of promising models and effective practices, and the development of practioner resources, tools, and training programs related to conflict management, international peace and security and peacebuilding.

The Priority Grant Competition
The Priority Grant program supports non-profit organizations working in or on Afghanistan, Iran, Iraq, Pakistan, and Sudan, and starting October 1, 2010 projects related to the theme of communication and peacebuilding.

Jennings Randolph (JR) Senior Fellowships are awarded to scholars, practitioners, policy analysts, and other experts for the opportunity to spend 10 months inresidence at the Institute, reflecting and writing on pressing international peace and security challenges. | Read more about current Senior Fellows and their activities.

The Jennings Randolph Peace Scholar Dissertation program
The Peace Scholar Dissertation fellowship isa non-residential scholarship awarded to students enrolled at U.S. universities who are writing doctoral dissertations on topics related to peace, conflict, and international security. Each year the program awards approximately ten fellowships. Dissertation projects in all disciplines are welcome. | Read about the 2011-2012 Peace Scholars.

The Transatlantic Post-Doc Fellowship for International Relations and Security (TAPIR)
The TAPIR is open to candidates who have recently recieved their doctorate in social and political sciences or economics and whose research focuses on topics of international relations and/or international peace and security issues. Fellowships are granted for a duration of 24 months to prepare Fellows for a career in policy-oriented and international research at renowned think tanks and political consulting research institutes. Fellows spend three eight-month stays at institutions participating in the program - at least one on the Eastern and one on the Western side of the Atlantic. The TAPIR fellowship is administered by the Stiftung Wissenschaft und Politik in Germany. | Visit their website for more information about placements and applying.

Jennings Randolph Military Fellows
Each year, the JR program welcomes an army officer serving in a Senior Service College Fellowship capacity. Officers selected as fellows at USIP have extensive military experience and/or responsibility for civil-military relations.
