Posting open positions on TEACH.gov allows states, districts, and third-party organization to list open positions and reach out to those students and early-career professionals who are using the TEACH site to identify the resources they need to launch successful teaching careers. To sign up simply fill out this form and you will be able to log in once your email address is verified.

  1. Introduction: Please read this agreement carefully. It contains the Terms of Use (“Terms”) governing your access to and use of the U.S. Department of Education’s (“Department”) TEACH.gov website (“Site”) and services (“Services”) provided thereon. If you do not accept these Terms you shall not use the TEACH.gov website. These Terms may be modified at any time, and for any reason, in the sole discretion of the Department.
  2. Agreement: By using the Site, you agree to abide by these Terms. You represent, warrant, and agree that you are thirteen (13) years or older, and are capable of entering into this agreement. If you are under the age of majority, you agree to only use the Site and Services under the supervision of your parent(s), legal guardian(s), or other responsible adult(s). You also agree to use the Site at your own risk subject at all times to these Terms.
  3. Definitions: No defined term in this section shall apply to the Department.

    Job Poster: Refers to a User who is accessing the Site to post a job or utilizing the Services for any reason related to seeking candidates for employment.

    Job Seeker: Refers to a User who is accessing the Site to search for a job or in any other capacity except as a Job Poster

    User: Refers to any individual or entity that uses any aspect of the Site and Services including, but not limited to, Job Posters, Job Seekers, states, school districts, and any other individuals or entities.

  4. Use of Website and Services:
    The Site is intended for individuals seeking teaching employment resources and information, and for recruiters seeking candidates for teaching positions. You may use the Site only for lawful purposes within the context of these Terms.
    1. Job Posters: Your use of the Site shall be limited solely for the use of seeking candidates for employment as a teacher, or other employee of a public or private school or school system, and not for gathering information to sell to third parties. You may upload material to, or download material from, the Site solely for the purpose of seeking candidates for employment. You shall not collect any information from the Site whether in data, visual, or any other format through the use of “web bots,” “scraping,” “crawling,” “spidering,” or any other method not approved by the Department. You shall not sell, transfer, or assign any of the information on the Site posted by, or involving, third-parties without that party’s express authorization. You agree that you are solely responsible for the content of any information you post to the Site and any consequences arising therefrom. The web links (URLS) that you submit in job listing must link directly to the related job posting and provide more information on that job listing.
    2. Users and Job Seekers: Your use of the Site is solely for your own educational and personal use when exploring the Site and exploring employment opportunities for yourself. You may download the material on the Site solely for your personal use and, noncommercial use. You agree that you are solely responsible for any information you post to, or enter into, the Site.
    3. Prohibited Uses of Site and Services: Prohibited uses of the Site and Services include, but are not limited to:
      1. Posting any material for any unlawful purpose,
      2. Posting false, misleading, or inaccurate information,
      3. Posting any employment opportunities that are not related to education,
      4. Posting more than one version of the same employment opportunity on the Site,
      5. Allowing position(s) to remain on the Site for longer than 24 hours after expiration of the job announcement,
      6. Posting any endorsements or advertisements of your or any third-party’s products and/or services,
      7. Posting any requests for payment or fees for services provided by the “Job Posters,”
      8. Deleting or altering any material posted by another User,
      9. Posting any material that contains software viruses or any other computer code designed to alter, misdirect, mislead or otherwise impair the User’s experience of the Site,
      10. Posting any material that is obscene, sexually explicit, defamatory, threatening, harassing, abusive, hateful, or embarrassing to another User,
      11. Posting any material that is copyrighted, unless the user has obtained permission in writing from the owner to do so,
      12. Posting material that reveals trade secrets or otherwise infringes on any intellectual property rights of others, and
      13. Using any device, software, or routine actions to interfere or attempt to interfere with the proper working of the Site or activity on the Site.
    4. Your use of the Site is a privilege and not a right. We, therefore, reserve the right to suspend or terminate that privilege at any time and for any reason including, but not limited to, those referenced in this section. If you engage in any unlawful activity on the Site, or use the Site to further unlawful activity, the Department may, in its sole discretion, take all legal action it deems necessary or appropriate. Such actions may include notifying the proper legal authorities.

  5. Intellectual Property Rights:
    1. Public Domain: Information contained on the Site created by employees of the Department or other federal government agency is in the public domain. Public domain information may be freely distributed or copied with an appropriate acknowledgment. For Department employee works, attribution should be cited as follows: “U.S. Department of Education” along with the publication date of the work and the date an article was downloaded from the web. For all other federal government employee works, attribution should be given in the manner specified by that agency.
    2. Use of Department Seal: Only the Secretary of Education and his or her designee(s) are authorized to affix the Department Seal, including any replicas or reproductions to documents, publications, electronic media, and any other materials. Any use, including downloading, of the Department’s Seal by any person or organization outside of the Department is prohibited absent prior express written authorization from the Assistant Secretary for the Office of Communications and Outreach at the Department. Requests to use the Seal should be made in writing to Assistant Secretary, Office of Communications and Outreach, U.S. Department of Education, 400 Maryland Avenue, S.W., Washington, D.C. 20202. The request must specify in detail exactly how the Department Seal will be used. Any permission granted applies only to the specific use for which it was granted and is not to be construed as permission for any other use.
    3. Use of Department Service Marks: Except as provided herein, use of Department service marks, trademarks, and logos are prohibited without the Department’s express written permission. Requests for permission to use Department logos may be obtained by contacting in writing: Office of the General Counsel, U.S. Department of Education, 400 Maryland Avenue, S.W., Washington, D.C. 20202. All Users agree not to display any Department or government Seals or logos on their homepage or elsewhere on their web site, unless permission to do so has been granted by the Department or by other relevant federal government authority.
    4. Domain Names: All Users are prohibited from using Department trademarks or potentially confusing variations in any of their internet domain names that is reasonably likely to cause internet users to be confused as to the ownership of the User’s site and the information contained thereon.
    5. Use of TEACH Teach Marksm and Teach Marksm Logos:
      1. Permissible Use: Users are permitted to use the TEACH sm and sm logos (“Logos”) on their websites and printed materials to indicate the relationship of their services to the services offered via The TEACH Campaign. Within the text or body copy, references to the logos may appear in the same type as the User’s name and/or logo. However, on advertising materials, brochures, web pages etc., where the Logos are displayed apart from the body copy, they must appear as depicted on the “Grab our Logo” page at http://www.teach.gov/about/logos/link-us.
      2. Prohibited Use: Users shall not use the Logos in a manner which is reasonably likely to cause confusion as to the Department’s affiliation, sponsorship, or endorsement. To avoid misleading affiliations, sponsorships or endorsements, the Logos must not appear more prominently than the title on a given work. In addition, you should include a disclaimer on the work stating that by allowing you to use the Logos, the Department is not endorsing your, or anyone else’s, product or services.
      If you improperly use these Logos, the Department may, in its sole discretion, take any and all legal action it deems necessary or appropriate, including denying you further access to the Site.
    6. Use of Third Party Trademarks and Material: Information available on the Site provided by outside organizations, authors, and other persons who are not employees of the Department may be protected under copyright, trademark and other intellectual property laws of the United States, or other countries. It is the User’s responsibility to obtain licenses or permissions from the appropriate persons to use these materials. If you believe that any material included on the Site constitutes copyright or trademark infringement, or you believe that any intellectual property rights have been otherwise violated, please provide the following information via email to teachgov@ed.gov, addressed to the Office of the General Counsel:
      1. A description intellectual property that you claim has been infringed;
      2. A description of where the material that you claim is infringing is located on the Web site; and
      3. A statement by you that you have a good faith belief that the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law;
      4. A statement by you, made under penalty of perjury, that the above information in your notice is accurate and that you are the intellectual property owner or authorized to act on the intellectual property owner's behalf.
      In accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and other applicable law, the Department, in its sole discretion, will terminate a User’s access to the Site, if the User is deemed to be a repeat infringer. The Department may also, in its sole discretion, limit access to the Site and/or terminate access to the Site if a User is deemed to have infringed on the intellectual property rights of others, whether or not there is any repeat infringement
  6. Data Rights:
    Without limitation of the foregoing, you may not reproduce, modify, display, sell, or distribute any Job Poster’s, or third-party’s content or use them in any other way for public or commercial purpose without obtaining Job Poster’s or third-party’s permission. In addition, notwithstanding anything to the contrary contained herein, you must not: (a) copy or adapt the HTML code used to generate web pages on the Site; (b) use or attempt to use engines, manual or automated software, tools, devices, agents, scripts robots or other means, devices, mechanisms or processes (including, but not limited to, browsers, spiders, robots, avatars, or intelligent agents) to navigate, search, access, “scrape,” “crawl,” or “spider” any web pages or any Services provided on the Site.
  7. Privacy Policy:
    All User information will be used in accordance with the TEACH.gov’s Privacy Policy at http://www.teach.gov/privacy and the Privacy Impact Assessment at http://www2.ed.gov/notices/pia/index.html. The Department reserves the right to comply with any legal requirements, requests from law enforcement agencies, or requests from government entities, even to the extent that such compliance may require disclosure of any or all of a User’s information.
  8. Disclaimers:
    1. Responsibility: The Department does not assume any responsibility for any information posted by any User. The Department also does not assume any responsibility for any activities, omissions, or other conduct of any User. TEACH.gov acts as portal for the online distribution and publication of teacher postings and information on teaching preparation, certification, and training. The Department has no obligation to screen communications or information in advance and is not responsible for screening or monitoring information posted by any User. The content of any information posted on the Site that is authored or produced by persons outside of the Department does not necessarily reflect the views of the Department, and the Department will not assume or have any responsibility or liability for any information posted, or for any claims, damages, or losses resulting from the use or appearance of such information. In addition, the Department is not responsible for any position postings removed by Job Posters prior to the previously specified expiration date of a job announcement. The Department reserves the right to refuse to post and the right to edit or remove, in whole or in part, any information that is, in its discretion, unacceptable.
    2. Representations, Guarantees, and Warranties: The Department does not warrant that the Site or those sites linked to the Site will operate error-free, are free of computer viruses, or other harmful mechanisms. If your use of the Site results, directly or indirectly, in the need for computer servicing or replacement, the Department is not responsible for those costs. The Department does not make any representations or guarantees regarding the truthfulness, accuracy, legality, completeness, timeliness, or reliability of any of the information posted by Users, blogs created by Users, or of any other form of communication engaged in by Users. Your reliance on any information posted by Users, or any other form of communication with Users, is at your own risk. Please see http://www.ed.gov/blog/comments-policy/ for further information. The Department does not make any representations or guarantees regarding the effectiveness of the services, or timeliness of the services, in meeting your employment objectives. The Department does not warrant that the services will result in candidates being hired, positions being filled, or employees being retained. The Department is also not responsible or liable for any business, employment, hiring or salary decisions made by any User.
    3. Endorsements: Nothing on the Site shall be considered an endorsement, representation, or warranty by the Department with respect to a User, whether in regards to its web site, products, services, hiring experience, employment, recruiting practices, or otherwise.
    4. Links to Other Sites: The Site contains links to third-party web sites. These links are provided solely as a convenience to you and not as an endorsement by the Department of the content on such third-party websites. The Department is not responsible for the content of linked third-party websites and does not make any representations regarding the content or accuracy of materials on such third-party websites. If you decide to access a link to one of these websites you do so at your own risk. If the Department determines that the content of a linked external site is inappropriate we will remove the link from the Site.     5. Amendments to this Agreement and Changes to Site: The Department reserves the right to revise these Terms at any time by updating this page. Changes will be binding on you on the date they are posted on the Site.
    6. Indemnification: Section 1341(a)(1)(B) of the Antideficiency Act prohibits the Department from entering into speculative or open-ended obligations in advance of funds being appropriated for that purpose. Therefore, the Department is prohibited from agreeing to indemnify any User from and against any and all claims, actions, losses, demands, costs, attorneys’ fees and all other expenses relating to intellectual property rights, privacy rights, or other legal rights.
    7. Governing Law: Liability of the Department for any breach or claim arising from these Terms shall be determined under the Federal Tort Claims Act, or other governing federal authority. Liability of any User for any breach or any claim arising from these Terms, shall be governed, interpreted, and enforced by applicable federal law.
    8. Enforcement: You hereby acknowledge that the Department may seek any remedy available to it to enforce this agreement including, but not limited to, application of a court order. You agree to the federal courts of the District of Columbia as the exclusive fora to resolve any and all disputes arising under this agreement.
    9. Severability: Each provision of this agreement is severable. If a court should find any provision of this agreement to be unenforceable, all other provisions of this agreement shall remain in full force and effect.
    10. Duly Authorized: You hereby represent that you read this entire agreement carefully, know and understand the contents hereof, and agree to these Terms. You further represent that you are legally capable and authorized to enter into this agreement and to agree to these Terms. You also acknowledge that the Department has not offered any promises, agreements, or representations to you for the purpose of inducing you to agree to these Terms.
