Deputy Commander, DLA Pacific


Bobbi L. Collins is the DLA Pacific Deputy Commander. She was born in Pauls Valley, Okla. She is a graduate of East Central Oklahoma State University, in Ada, Okla., with a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting. She is a distinguished graduate of the Naval Postgraduate School, where she was awarded the Master of Science degree in systems management with a subspecialty in supply chain management. She also earned the Naval Supply Systems Command Award for Excellence in Systems Management. Her professional certifications include Certified Professional Logistician and Certified Public Accountant. She is a member of the Acquisition Professional Community, Level II certified in logistics.
 
Ms. Collins retired from the United States Navy as a commander in the Supply Corps in May 2007. She reported to Officer Candidate School in April 1986, where she received her commission Aug. 1, 1986. Her first assignment was as the Supply Quality Assurance, ADP Officer, and Disbursing Officer onboard the USS FULTON (AS-11) in New London, Conn. Other afloat assignments include service as the Supply Officer of the USS Haleakala (AE-25) and the Supply Quality Assurance Officer on the USS Holland (AS-32), both forward deployed in Guam. In addition to her sea duty assignments, she served in customer support and storage positions at the Trident Refit Facility, in Kings Bay, Ga., when the command was initially established.
 
Her joint experience is the result of serving as an International Logistics Officer at U.S. Pacific Command, Camp Smith, Hawaii, working in both joint and combined logistics efforts. Her military assignments within the Defense Logistics Agency include the Commander of Defense Supply Center Philadelphia, Pacific Region, and Operations Officer of Defense Distribution Depot Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. She also served as the Material Officer at the Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility.
 
Following her military career, she worked as a business coach on Oahu. She began her civil service career in September 2008 as the DLA Disposition Services Director, Pacific before accepting her present position in June 2011.
 
Ms. Collins’ awards include three Defense Meritorious Service Medals, two Navy Commendation Medals, a Navy Achievement Medal, and the Surface Warfare Supply Corps Officer qualification pin.
