 Latest County News Releases

Ada County residents living in unincorporated Ada County will soon notice an increase in their trash collection rates, that’s because on October 30, 2012 the Board of Ada County Commissioners, in a 2 to 1 vote, approved a 1.99% increase in trash collection rates for rural areas of the county not currently within a city’s limits. The new rate was anticipated and was included in the most recent billing, which is due November 14, 2012.

Early Voting ended today at 5pm. However, the last voter to arrive at five waited in line until 6:54pm before she finally cast her ballot.

As the election approaches many candidates and voters wonder about who’s keeping track of the ballots.

Ada County Elections is launching a new way to view election results:  The “Election Tracker System” will display which precincts have come in and color them according to what candidate or issue is leading by precinct.

On Monday, October 15th, early voting will begin at Ada County’s Election Headquarters.  However, this year there will be something distinctly different.  Rather than being issued a ballot from a giant stack, your ballot will now be printed on demand!  Working with Hewlett Packard (HP), Ada County Elections has developed new tools that allow them to print ballots as voters request them.
