General

• Provides learning experience for high school, undergraduate, and graduate students
• Gain exposure to fields such as physical science, mathematics, engineering, computer science, and administration
• Paid position
• Work during vacation breaks; if local, may also work during the year while going to school

Who Qualifies?

• Students enrolled in an accredited educational institution at least half-time
• The minimum age allowed for Federal employment is 16

Benefits

• Part-time or full-time earn annual and sick leave
• May become eligible for federal health and life insurance benefits after one year of continuous service
• Covered by the Social Security System
