• New Board of Directors (BOD) are needed!  If you are interested in running for the BOD please contact Josh Pomeroy (joshua.pomeroy@nist.gov ) before Sept 3.

 

• The next Board of Directors meeting will be held Tues. Sept 11, at noon at the Child Care Center (conference room).

 

• An updated Parent Handbook has been posted.  Please check the handbook for new information on emergency plans and new building operating policies and procedures.

 

• The new Center opened its doors to its current children on June 18.

  • Before and After Care program with bus service to and from Diamond Elementary School or parents are welcome to arrange their own transportation from their child's school to NIST.
    
• Infant rooms (6 weeks to 18 months) will be opening in the late Fall of 2012. We will also be expanding our 3 year old preschool class and two year old program. 

  

 

Welcome to the NIST Child Care Center! Whether you are a mom, dad or guardian, you want your child to have a loving, caring, wholesome environment in which to play and learn. We understand the need to provide quality child care at a reasonable price and are excited to offer this service to the NIST community. We offer options for full-time or part-time child care, kindergarten, before and after school care, Montgomery County Public School closings, and snow days where space available.

All NIST employees, NIST Associates and other federal government employees with children or grandchildren ages 18 months-5th grade (e.g. Summer Camp and Before/After School Care) are eligible to enroll their children in the Center. The Center admits children of any race, color, national or ethnic origin. We believe that finances should not prevent you from placing your little pea in our care and scholarship assistance is available to qualifying families.

Our mission is to encourage and promote the total social, physical, emotional, and academic development of each child in a safe, nurturing and supportive learning environment.
