Lieutenant Colonel Lynda Royse was raised in Kansas. Upon graduating from the United States Military Academy in West Point, New York she received a commission to Second Lieutenant in 1993. Lieutenant Colonel Royse’s military education includes completion of the Engineer Officer Basic and Advanced Courses and the Command and General Staff College. Her civilian education includes a Bachelor of Science Degree from the United States Military Academy and a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Kansas.
Lieutenant Colonel Royse has held a variety of operational and acquisition command and staff assignments. Her operational command and staff assignments include: Platoon Leader, Bravo Company and Adjutant, 94th Engineer Battalion, Vilseck, Germany; Executive Officer, Alpha Company, 94th Engineer Battalion, Hohenfels, Germany and Bosnia and Herzegovina; United Nations Engineer Officer, United Nations Preventive Deployment Forces, Macedonia; Company Commander, Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 20th Engineer Battalion, 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Hood, Texas and Bosnia and Herzegovina. Lieutenant Colonel Royse’s acquisition assignments include: Contingency Contracting Officer, Division Support Command, 4th Infantry Division, Fort Hood, Texas and Directorate of Contracting, Kuwait; Contingency Contracting Officer, Northern Region Contracting Center - Fort Leavenworth, Kansas; Contingency Contracting Officer, 225th
