MFP Demonstration Advisory Committee
The Money Follows the Person Demonstration Advisory Committee (MFPDAC) participates in the design of the operational protocol (OP) and monitors implementation of the demonstration throughout the five-year period.
The committee will guide OP development, provide advice, monitor demonstration implementation and progress, and review the state in its obligation to meet its benchmark evaluative standards. In addition, the MFPDAC will help the state in building consensus for the Demonstration and report to the Promoting Independence Advisory Committee. Members will include direct consumers and/or their family members, and advocacy and provider representatives. State agency staff, from the Health and Human Services Commission, DADS, Department of State Health Services, and Texas Department of Housing and Community affairs will act in an ex-officio position.

Participation
Members will consider it a high priority to attend meetings on a regular basis especially during the OP phase. When unable to attend, members will send an informed representative with authority to act on their behalf.
