Mission

Provide a full and fair hearing to determine a Soldier's physical fitness for continued military service; if found unfit, determine level and type of compensation, and take action to separate or retire the Soldier when their career is interrupted by a physical disability.

Objectives

  • Conduct fair, transparent, consistent, and timely boards.
  • Remain focused on taking care of Soldiers.
  • Maintain an effective and fit Army.
  • Compensate Soldiers who are wounded, injured, or fall ill in the line of duty.
  • Never leave a fallen comrade.

Prime Directive

Take care of our Soldiers as you would want and expect your family or yourself to be treated. Understand and execute our regulations and policies within their intent. Make them work to benefit our Soldiers, whenever possible. Ensure our internal operating procedures and management of resources support this goal. Always accomplish our mission to standard, not to time. Respect and take care of our Soldiers and each other. Do all possible to achieve success as "one team" with "one standard," regardless of the task or the circumstances. We exist to support our Soldiers and our success is measured in how well that's done.
