AGR Application Procedures

Submitting the Packet

All packets are now submitted on-line. You will find the packet on the My Tools section of the new Portal at https://www.hrc.army.mil/portal/

Preparing the Application Packet

It is your responsibility to prepare your application accurately and ensure your documents are updated in PERMS.

Providing Feedback Concerning your Application

Ensure your Army Knowledge Online (AKO) account email address is kept up to date. All correspondence will be through AKO.

Reviewing Your Application Packet

When HRC receives your AGR packet, it will be reviewed for completeness. You will be notified through AKO as to the status of your packet. If your packet is complete and your qualifications meet the current needs of the AGR program, your packet will be move to the Consideration List and you will be notified through AKO. If your packet is not placed on the Consideration List, you will be notified through AKO. Placement on the Consideration List does not guarantee that a Soldier will be offered a position in the AGR Program.

Packet Status

Applicants will receive two notifications during the selection process. The first notification verifies receipt of the packet for processing. Another email will be sent upon completion of the panel to inform the applicant of the results.

Applicants who want to inquire about the status of a submitted packet or a notification they received should send an email to the AGR Accessions Team. The subject line of the email should include full name, rank, service component and the last four of your social security number.

Publication of the AGR Consideration List

Due to the ever changing nature of the Accession List, the list is not published on our Web site. Soldiers eligible for consideration are informed via AKO e-mail.

Soldiers in the grades of E-4 through E-8 are screened for recruiting duty. If eligible for recruiting duty, the Soldier receives an e-mail asking him/her to contact the Recruit the Recruiter Team. Recruiting duty is the number one priority for new AGR accessions. 99.8% of those eligible for AGR Recruiting receive an offer to join the AGR Program.

PLACEMENT ON THE LIST DOES NOT GUARANTEE AN OFFER OF A POSITION!

It is recommended that initial offers be accepted if an AGR career is your goal. There are other eligible soldiers currently awaiting an offer. Soldiers who refuse an offer are moved to the bottom of the Accession List.

VALID AGR OPPORTUNITIES COME ONLY FROM HRC!

For additional information or to check the status of your packet contact the AGR Accessions Team by email or call at (502) 613-5927. Emails should be sent via your AKO email.
