FEBS Journal 278The minireviews in this Special Issue, edited by Ettore Appella and Jan Johansson, highlight some of the exciting research presented at the 18th International Methods in Protein Structure Analysis (MPSA) conference, which was held in Uppsala, Sweden in August 2010. The meeting focus was on protein misfolding in disease and emphasized: (a) methods for proteomic analysis and bioinformatics; (b) protein folding and interactions with membranes; and (c) proteins in the immune response.

These meetings bring together scientists in various fields including protein chemistry, proteomics, and structural biology to discuss new methods for protein analysis. MPSA 2012 will be held in Ottawa, Canada, June 25-28, 2011 (see above). Information on past MPSA meetings is available on the Past MPSA Meetings page (above left).
