NCPC’s staff provides advice on the planning projects of the local authorities to ensure that they are consistent with the federal interest in the National Capital Region.

Maryland

Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission (MNCPPC)

MNCPPC is a bi-county planning agency for Montgomery and Prince George’s Counties. It was established in 1927 by the State of Maryland to acquire, develop, maintain, and administer a regional system of parks within the two counties and to provide land use planning.

Within MNCPPC are separate planning departments and planning boards for Montgomery and Prince George’s Counties.
