Veterans Employee Resource Group
The Veterans Employee Resource Group is a volunteer organization sponsored by the Office of Diversity and Strategic Staffing that raises awareness of veterans' issues and honors them throughout the year through several Laboratory events, such as Veteran's Day and Memorial Day ceremonies.
Service Academies Research Associates (SARA)
The Laboratory hosts cadets and midshipmen from the military academies at West Point, Annapolis, and Colorado Springs for a four-to-six-week full-immersion experience at Los Alamos National Laboratory. Through the Service Academies Research Associates (SARA) program, LANL offers these students hands-on learning with the Laboratory's national security science and technology.
Veteran-owned & service-disabled-veteran-owned small business
LANL recognizes that small businesses are essential in stimulating the economy and has made significant strides in providing contract and subcontract opportunities to veteran-owned small businesses by communicating procurement opportunities through small business forums, training, and other outreach initiatives.
Veterans career fairs
The Laboratory conducts recruiting efforts through the local veterans career fairs.
