Science for Soldiers and Citizens

The Department of Chemistry and Life Science is responsible for teaching and research within the broad and exciting disciplines of chemistry, life science, and chemical engineering. Our faculty is keenly focused on providing a world-class undergraduate education and conducting state-of-the-art research in a wide array of sciences. Our broad undergraduate programs prepare cadets for a life-time of service to the Army and the Nation. Our Department emphasizes the development of critical thinking and problem solving skills both in the classroom and as cadets conduct original research in faculty laboratories; hence our motto: "Science for Soldiers and Citizens."
