USPTO to Hold Annual Independent Inventors Conference November 4-5
Washington - The United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) will hold its Annual Independent Inventors Conference on November 4 and 5, 2010, at its headquarters in Alexandria, VA. The conference will feature numerous experts and USPTO employees who will address topics such as the fundamentals of intellectual property protection, invention marketing companies, the benefits and pitfalls of filing a provisional patent application, and things for the inventor to consider when finding, selecting, and working with a patent attorney or agent. Sessions will offer advanced tips for the seasoned inventor as well.
Art Fry, co-inventor of Post-It® Notes and a 2010 National Inventors Hall of Fame Inductee, and USPTO Director David Kappos will be the featured keynote speakers at this year’s conference. Fry will be the keynote speaker at the conference luncheon on Thursday, November 4, while Director Kappos will be the featured lunch speaker on Friday, November 5.
