FCC COMMISSIONER JESSICA ROSENWORCEL
ON TODAY’S REPORT FROM THE
PRESIDENT’S COUNCIL OF ADVISORS ON SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY
Washington, D.C.—In response to the release of the President’s Council of Advisors onScience and Technology (PCAST) Spectrum Report:
“The demand for mobile broadband is growing at a breathtaking pace. So the pressure is
on to find new and innovative ways to manage our spectrum resources. The creative thinking in
today’s report from the President’s Council of Advisors on Science and Technology is a good
place to start. I look forward to reviewing the report and working with my colleagues at the
Commission to consider new ways to facilitate spectrum sharing—including expanding small
cell use, further developing database management systems, and setting the stage for more
investment in dynamic technologies. This can help us realize the full potential of our airwaves to
both serve federal interests and provide new and innovative uses for businesses and consumers.”
