 TTB/DGCCRF (France) Memorandum of Understanding (MOU)On September 1, 2011, Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB) Assistant Administrator, William H. Foster and General Directorate for Competition Policy, Consumer Affairs, and Fraud Control (DGCCRF) Director General, Nathalie Homobono signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) intended to establish a consistent channel for information exchange regarding the import and export of beverage alcohol between France and the United States. The MOU, signed in Paris, France, also seeks to establish an information exchange regarding the laws and regulations that TTB and the DGCCRF administer, and intends to strengthen cooperation between TTB and the DGCCRF regarding the quality, safety, and presentation of alcohol beverages and methods of analysis of alcohol beverages used by the laboratories supporting regulatory enforcement efforts.
